about

This album is the truest expression of how I feel in my life now about both my personal life and music progression. Mixed and mastered by me.
--"I Don't Belong Here Pts. 1 & 2" express how I feel a true disconnect in life and music where I feel as if I feel like I was born in the wrong time period with the subject matter of my music and moral code as a person in life trying to find their way. Both Produced by B.Jeff
--"Save Me" is a dark song about how my anxiety and depression try to take me over and I can't tell the difference between my true self and my depressive self. Produced by Fanaticus
--"Mediocre" is the second single that is an upbeat "I'm better than these other rappers" kind of braggadocio song with quips about how my music is getting better, but people still seem to turn away from the movement, but fuck them because I'm not in this for the music to be mediocre. Produced by B.Jeff
--"They Don't Care" is another braggadocio song about how my crew Young Kings knows we're talented and we just don't care about the people that hate and don't want to get on board because we're going to prove our worth, so watch out. Produced by B.Jeff
--"A Letter to the Ones That Got Away" is the final single from this project and is a more fun/ comedic take on the classic break up/ you're not good for me song. With serious situations that led to the parting ways, but a fun catchy beat and less serious lyrics. All three verses represents a different girl in a different situation that I have gone through [with]. Produced by B.Jeff
--"Alone" is my version of Logic's "I Am The Greatest" track, in my eyes. This song is about how I can create everything I want on my own without having to pay people to help me as a musician (not that there's anything wrong with that). This song expresses how some rappers can claim they do everything by themselves, but they actually have a team in the back doing all their work for them. Produced by B.Jeff
--"Virginity" is basically my version of a tasteful sex track. Focusing on the more love aspect than the lust aspect of sex. This song was also written for/ about someone in my real life. Produced by B.Jeff
--"Dreams That Weren't Meant to Be" is a track about self doubt, low self esteem, and rejection. Everyone goes through it, so let's get through it together and we'll be alright in the end. Produced by B.Jeff
--"Black and Milds (Jungle Remix)" was the first single of the project. Remixing Drake's "Jungle" track from his project "If You're Reading This It's Too Late", this song is a sad tale about someone you long to be with, but many obstacles remain in the way of being with that one person. Also based on someone in my life.
--"3 Years Apart" is a song dedicated to my brother Chris. The song is self explanatory; love you Chris. Produced by B.Jeff
--"I'm Solid" is the uplifting outro track that expresses that even though life is crazy and I don't know where I lie in it, it will all be fine in the end and that I'll be solid at the end of the day (inspired by Dance Gavin Dance's song "Rock Solid"). No matter what struggle you're going through, you can't lose until you give up. There's always hope for the better and ways to improve your situation. Just stay positive and loving and everything will be alright in the end; "we're solid". Produced by B.Jeff
--"With You (w/ Fanaticus)" is a song that Fanaticus hit me up about being on for an EP that he released and he liked the song so much he pushed me to put it on the tape as a bonus track, and the only feature on the entire project. Produced by Omito.

10/13 of the tracks were produced by myself, 12/13 of the tracks were mixed & mastered by myself as well, 13/13 of the tracks were written by me (except Fanaticus' verse in With You). 12/12 of the artwork photos were taken by Casey Brophy. 12/12 of the artwork was edited and designed by myself. This project is the fruit of my work put in creating music by myself with no physical help. This project was recorded and originally mixed in roughly 4-5 months (or 1 semester of school). Then I held on to it for final touches and mastering for 4-5 more months afterwards.
